Vanessa Williams
Circle Keeper

Vanessa Williams is a trauma-informed wellness practitioner, community healer, and human services professional dedicated to creating spaces where people feel safe to slow down, reconnect, and heal. With a background spanning human services, nonprofit leadership, wellness, and holistic care, Vanessa brings a deeply relational and compassionate approach to supporting individuals and communities navigating stress, trauma, grief, and life transitions.
Vanessa currently serves as a Holistic Care Specialist with the Center for Trauma & Resilience, where she coordinates and facilitates the Befriending the Body™ program, helping individuals impacted by trauma reconnect with themselves through somatic healing practices.
Her work integrates trauma-sensitive yoga, Reiki, breathwork, meditation, journaling, gentle movement, and restorative practices rooted in nervous system regulation and collective healing. Vanessa leads community wellness spaces for women, mothers, seniors, and historically underserved communities, with a focus on making healing accessible, culturally responsive, and grounded in care.
At the heart of Vanessa’s work is her belief that healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, our bodies, and one another. As a mother, sister, friend, and community advocate, she understands the importance of belonging, rest, and compassionate care. Her work is guided by the belief that wellness is not a luxury, but a human need, and that everyone deserves spaces where they feel seen, supported, and enough.
